Doctor

  • Dr. Sam Parker


    Dr. Sam Parker grew up in Millbrook, Alabama. He graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in 1992 with a degree in Biology.  He attended  Auburn School of Veterinarian Medicine.  In 2001, he returned to Millbrook to work at the Ark.  He and his wife, Kelly, have three children, Brayden 6, Finley Grace 4 and Baylor 2. He also has two dogs, Pepper and Polo. Sam is a member and Trustee of City Church in Montgomery. He spends his free time with his family on Lake Jordan. Vetsuite_Img_45081

  • Dr. Peggy Day


    Dr. Day was reared in a small town in west Alabama called Sweet Water (population 200).  She graduated from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985 and has been practicing in Millbrook since that time.  She resides in Millbrook with her two dogs, "Kudos" (Sheltie) and "Gabe" (mix breed).  Dr. Day is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Montgomery and is also a  member of the Central Veterinary Medical Association.

  • Dr. Autumn Kocher


    Originally from Macon, Georgia, Dr. Kocher is a graduate of Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine.  She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology obtained from Auburn University.  She is married to Jason Kocher, a native of Montgomery.  They have a ten -year-old gray tabby cat named Chloe and a new daughter named Lauren Ivie born April 21, 2006.  Among other things, Dr. Kocher has a strong interest in exotic medicine.  She has completed internships at both Zoo Atlanta and the Montgomery Zoo.  Besides cats and dogs, she enjoys working with ferrets, rabbits, rodents and reptiles.  She also enjoys avian medicine and works at becoming more knowledgable about birds.  She has been with Ark Animal Hospital since 2000.

  • Dr. Brittany O Larkin


    Dr. Larkin has been with Ark Animal Hospital since her preceptorship in February of 2006.  She graduated from Samford University in 2001 with a bachelors degree in biology.  She attended vet school at Auburn and graduated in 2006.  Dr. Larkin is originally from Columbus, Mississippi, but met her husband of three years at Auburn.  They now live in Millbrook with six "four-legged" children- "Bark", "Dallas","Phoenix", "Monkey", "Marv" and "Menace". Dr. Larkin is an active member of Coosada Baptist Church and in her spare time she enjoys artwork, sewing and spending time with her husband.

  • Dr. Ashley M Norman


    Ashley Norman, originally from Georgia, has been with AAH since June 2004.  She graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995.  She is an active board member of the Autauga County Humane Shelter and attends First United Methodist Church in Prattville.  She enjoys  traveling with her husband, Trey, and their young daughters--Morgan, and Sara Elizabeth.  Dr. Norman and Trey have two dogs--Beau and Sally, one cat named Sabrina and a goldfish named Fred.

    Kellye has been employed with AAH for more than twenty years.  She is the head assistant and one of our supervisors.

  • LaShawn


    LaShawn is a technician who has worked in veterinary medicine for ten years, and joined our team in October 2001.  She has been married for 16 years to Tony and they share two wonderful children--Robert and Michael.  When not working she enjoys her children's sports which include soccer and boxing.  Her favorite past times are scrapbooking, singing, watching movies, and cooking for her family.  Her angels are Sable, Gabby and Sampson--two dobermans and a cat.

Technician

  • Deborah


    Debbie is a technician and has been with Ark Animal Hospital for ten years.  She was raised in Buchanan, Michigan.  She moved here in 1987 and married her husband Anthony in 1990, who is a native of Elmore.  Debbie enjoys seven animals--three dogs, Heidi, Tiki, and Suede--three cats, Sabrine, Smokey-Jo and Smut, and a Cockatoo bird named Sugar.  She enjoys her spare time with family and riding with her husband on their Harley.  Her favorite past time is sewing for others.  Debbie and her husband have been residents of Millbrook for the over the past decade.

  • Ellen


    Ellen began working at AAH in May 2005 as an assistant and has been a technician for the past year.  Ellen's father is a retired Army Colonel so she has lived in many places.  She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and has lived in Prattville.  Ellen enjoys time with her sister, Claire, and friends. Ellen attends Troy State University.  She loves outdoor activities like water skiing, snow skiing and playing with her dogs--Roxy, Revenue, and Boogey.  Roxy is Jack Russell.  Revenue and Boogey are both mix breed labs that Ellen rescued.

    Michelle has worked for Ark Animal Hospital since 2003. She started as an assistant, and is now a technician.   She shares her life with her husband, Dustin and four dogs--Bo, Nate, Rocky and Rambo.

  • Katie


    Katie has been with AAH since August 2006. Katie was born in Rome, New York and has lived in such places as Boston, Los Angeles and Germany. Her father is a retired Colonel in the US Air Force and her mother is a Nuclear Medicine Techician in Connecticut. She graduated from AUM in 2007 with a degree in biology.  Katie has seven siblings, five brothers and two sisters. She enjoys soccer, baseball, and guitar hero (She plays on Expert). She has a cat named Macey. She's sweet at home, she swears.

    Heather is an technician  and has worked with Ark Animal Hospital since August 2006.  She attends AUM.   Her classes are biology pre-vet major.  She has four dogs-- Charlie, Roxxy, Foxxy and Sage.  In her free time she enjoys playing basketball, shopping and spending time with her family.  In the future she plans on attending Auburn's vet school.

    Jennifer is an assistant who has been working at AAH since August 2006.    She has one sister--Haley.  She was born in Montgomery, but has lived in Millbrook all of her life.  In her spare time she enjoys fishing, swimming,scuba diving, and other outdoor activities, especially Alabama Football.  Jennifer has four dogs - Elsi, Rowdy, Honey, and Max- and 2 cats - Mo or Mohawk and Alby.

Reception

  • Rita


    Rita is a receptionist with AAH since February 1995.  She is originally from Clanton, Alabama but was raised in Elmore.  She attends New Home Baptist Church and enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, Courtney.  Rita is married to Lester and they have one son named Jason.  In her spare time she also enjoys plastic canvas.

  • Megan


    Megan is a receptionist and has been working with Ark Animal Hospital since July 2006.  She current attends Faulkner University.  Her plans are to become an ultrasound technician. In her spare time Megan does her homework for school and enjoys shopping with her friend, Brent.  Megan lives with three cats--Petey, Jingles and Sam, one dog--Sadie, and an identical twin sister--Morgan.

    Amy is a receptionist and has worked with Ark Animal Hospital since 2003.  She has four dogs--Stevie, Jackson, Bella and Bailey, one cat--CiCi and two sons named Jaelon and Brodie. She has one angel in heaven--ShaeLee, a Bichon Frise. When Amy is not working, she spends time with her family and dog-sits for clients.   


  • Betty


    Betty has been a receptionist at Ark Animal Hospital since July 2003. She is a native of Montgomery but has lived in Deatsville for the last few years.  Betty enjoys eating out with her children--Kim, Chad and Seth and shopping for her grandchildren--Brandy, Cassidy, Tori Faith, and McKinley Shay.  Betty and Soleil, her Sheltie, make daily visits to the retirement home where her mother, Zelma, resides.  When time allows she also enjoys being outdoors and swimming in her pool.

  • Crystal


    Crystal is a receptionist who joined Ark Animal Hospital in 2001.  When she is not helping clients at the front desk, she is at home with her son, Conner, and infant daughter, Kelsie.  Crystal also shares four dogs--Meatball, Gretchen, Jasmine, and Ozzie, and two cats--Baby and Fat Cat, with her husband, John.

  • Angel


    Angel has been working at Ark Animal Hospital since February 2005.  She is currently attending classes to pursue a career in Digital Animation and Visual Communication.  Her father is in the US Army and has spent considerable time overseas in such places as Germany, Switzerland and Honduras.  When she is not working at AAH, she enjoys working with her church for community outreach.  Angel owns four dogs, a blue beta, two cats, a turtle, and a one-winged pigeon.  She is also a caretaker of two horses and two potbellied pigs.  Her favorite animals are sharks,  and she loves reptiles and rodents.  These interests are also shared by her two sisters.

Assistants

  • David


    David has been an assistant at AAH since July 2005.  He was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, and was raised in a military family.  He has lived in many different places throughout his childhood.  David is currently attending AUM pursuing a degree in marketing and hopes to move to California or Hawaii in the future and work for a record company.  He enjoys the local music scene, concerts, sports, traveling with friends and everything outdoors.  David has one cat named Belvedere, a rescued FIV kitten.

    Ashley has been with AAH since June of 2006. She was born in Montgomery, AL. She is majoring in Zoology: Pre-Vet at Auburn University, where she has been since Fall of 2006. Ashley has a black cat, Koi, which she adopted from the Lee County Humane Shelter.

    Heather has worked at AAH since August 2006.  She is taking courses to become a licensed technician.  She attends Victory Baptist Church in Millbrook.  Heather is originally from Baytown, Texas, but moved here when she was a child.  She has one sister--Haley, and one brother, Justin.  In her spare time she enjoys riding horses, spending time with friends and taking care of three dogs--Dixie, Princess, and Caycee.

  • Gracie


    Gracie has worked at the Ark Animal Clinic since July of 2006.   She graduated in 2008 from Holtville High School.  She plans to attend college in the fall at Jefferson State.  She enjoys working at the Ark and loves taking care of the animals.  When she is not working, she enjoys barrel racing and spending time with her friends and family.  Her horse's name is Fancy and she has had her for ten years. She also has a Boston Terrier named Alley that turns one this year.
